BE YOU!!!!!

Be you without apology.

Be you without guilt.

Be you, the whole beautiful you!

Why?” you ask, because the world needs you!!

There is a weird phenomenon that plagues the world today, a belief that we are not good enough as we are.  There is an unfair practice of others judging and ridiculing our fellow man when we ALL in fact have things that we could be better at. Please know this for sure: you are perfect just the way you are.

There are things that happen in our life we feel we can’t make it through and feel our imperfections were the cause. But look you are still here, still standing, and now stronger than ever. Each and every one of us has a journey to go through to understand and know who we really are.  On this journey we understand how powerful and awesome we each are through our own unique backgrounds and circumstances. Everything about us makes us the perfect and only candidate to live the authentic purpose of who we are meant to be and how to deliver our gift to the world.

BE BOLDBE BRAVEBE YOU_EDLet’s just sit back and think about how awesome the world would be if we all lived up to being our authentic selves.  We would have the chance to engage with all types of people through conversation, laugher and love because that fear of non-acceptance would be a thought of the past.  When we are able to play 100% from the person that we are and the person we are born to be, we really start to feel good in our skin and able to live our purpose in life!!!

The fact is that sounds very good and all…but believe me I know it’s easier said than done.  This is an ideal way to be but it is not easy to unlearn all the things you were taught and begin to learn the things you could know!  It is about taking the baby steps in efforts to fulfill that purpose and live from a place of authenticity.

Let’s Try It:

  1. The baby steps can start with an identifying the little things about you, by making a list of the things that you really enjoy doing, things that really make you happy.
  2. From the list, strip all the labels that you have learned through your life. Daughter, Son, Sister, Brother, Employee, Volunteer etc. this list of labels describes duties of what you think you should be. This does not get to the core of you, this is about YOU AND ONLY YOU. This is about taking the baby steps of identifying who you are and the things you like. It may seem pretty small, but that is where the big dreams start to unfold, at baby steps.
  3. Once you have been able to strip yourself of the labels, think of the little things that you notice that make you smile. Is it a song? Is it a smell? Is it a book? Is it a place? Whatever it may be make note of them daily: what makes your heart smile and feel like you could read that book, be in that place, all day without notice of time. That is something that you have identified to be part of the real you!

This, in my opinion, is a lifelong process. When you begin to become aware of the things that you love to do and start replacing the items of lack with items of love you will begin to see your life transform into one that you love.

The world needs you to be you without apology, without guilt, the true authentic you full of love and laughter with so much to give to the world.  We are all put here for our own specific purpose and it does not matter what that purpose is, if it makes you feel good and you enjoy it that is what it’s all about!

It’s all about you, being the best you, enjoying you, once you do that it begins to permeate throughout your relationships, your finances, your self-esteem, and your confidence will soon begin to replace fears.

You will begin to start to notice a new person coming forth, a person that no longer apologies for loving their laugher, no longer apologies for their beliefs and values. You will be the person you always have been but allowed fear to stand in the way!!  BE YOU! J

I’d love to hear about that special place or activity that makes you feel just YOU.  Comment below and share it with us!

Have You Met Don Marlette?

In 2012, I did.

He’s awesome – you should if you haven’t.

I had my first vendor booth at a psychic fair in Marion in 2012 with my then business as a retailer of metaphysical goods: stones, figures, herbs, etc.  Don had his booth next to us.  As the day went on, we began to chat and I learned that he taught classes, prompting me to invite him to teach in the classroom at our soon to be open healing center.

It was a year or so later that we decided to trade coaching and intuitive services and a true relationship formed.  We did a joint workshop called Twisted Links focused on life balance and the power of the mind.  We continued to pow wow on our life and business events.

In 2015 when I had my intuition hand me the idea for my latest business model, I ran it past Don.  He was pretty excited, but not more excited than I when he decided to sign on with me!

You can find Don’s full bio at http://www.nolimitslife.guru, here is my favorite excerpt from it though:

Clients recognize Don as a very gifted psychic medium, who is a compassionate, peaceful and guiding presence, always ready to comfort and help those in need.  His most outstanding quality is connection.  During one public demonstration, one skeptic ended up sitting next to Don for the next two hours after the event, as he gave short readings to attendees.  At the end of the evening, the skeptic said, “I don’t believe you can do what you’re doing.  But you’re doing it, and it’s the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen!”

If you are in the Iowa area and want an opportunity to connect with Don in person, on April 2 we are hosting an event called Parting the Veil: Explore the World of Intuition and Reap it’s Benefits. This will be a perfect opportunity to see Don in action and connect with him and his energy. And be sure to check out this article he recently wrote on your Visionary Type for a sneak peak.

You can also explore his offerings via our website http://www.nolimitslife.guru and send us any questions you have.

What’s the Law of Attraction really about?

from No Limits Life Team member,  Abby Wickersheim

Thoughts become things… that’s simple enough right?

Follow that mantra, manage your thoughts and you’re well on your way to living a lifestyle of the rich and famous. That was a revolutionary concept nearly a decade ago when The Secret was first released by Rhonda Byrnes. Her audience reached a global level as she shared the secret to it all, the law of attraction and positive thinking.

Like many of us do I was searching to find the key to it all, why was I frustrated and unhappy while others seemed to have it all? I watched with envy and jealously at those around me succeeding and it pissed me off enough to do something about it. I was 21 years old and new to the self-help world when my former boss gave me the DVD. I’ll admit I was expecting something so profound by the cover and title, it seemed to portray the masses being held down by the 1% and I certainly wasn’t a part of the 1%. When I finished the DVD I was excited about how easy it seemed, usually at the end of something like that there’s a sales pitch with a hefty price tag. You can get these great results IF you buy xyz and only IF.

The Secret offered relief and control over my own life. It goes on to cover the Law of Attraction – like attracts like – if you’re in a pissy mood you’ll attract pissy circumstances. It also covers your thoughts essentially setting your attraction point.

If you think negative thoughts over and over you’re going to get negative people and circumstances in your life.

The egoic brain likes to pumps thousands of negative thoughts a day and it becomes impossible to fight against them. Soon I found myself feeling bad when I had those negative thoughts. I’m smart enough to know now that those thoughts are bringing me the very things I don’t want and yet I can’t stop them from coming. I did begin to see results though, while the negative thoughts were present I was increasing the number of positive thoughts than I had before.

While things got better, it wasn’t quite the level of action that I wanted to see. That’s when I came across author, coach and self-proclaimed bullshit fairy Melody Fletcher who threw some serious knowledge on me. In her book Deliberate Receiving she explains the crucial missing piece to creation and manifestations – emotions.

She explains that it’s not necessarily about what you think but rather how you feel that is setting your vibrational point of attraction. When you use your emotion as your guidance system you can start to move yourself from the “negative emotions” into the more positive ones. She explains that all emotions have purpose and that purpose is to show us our vibrational point of attraction. Our perception of emotions are what makes them seem negative but there truly are no negative ones. Tuning into your emotions gives you the power back to get the results you want in your world. Let’s say you want that shiny new car, you REALLY want it. Notice the feelings that come up when you think about the new car. Does your attention immediately go to the hunk of junk up currently have that keeps breaking down? And how does it feel when that comes up? Probably not so good, so while you’re down in those yucky feelings it’s going to be pretty challenging for that new car to come your way.

Deliberate Receiving not only comes with the knowledge, but it also comes with tools to make shit happen. If you want a no bullshit guide to understanding and implementing the law of attraction in your life this is the one for you!

Intersecting with Long Time Friends

Sometimes you are lucky enough to connect with people you share so much love with that even if time and circumstance come between you, when you talk again, it is as if no time at all has passed. I have a handful of friends in this arena and they are so special to me!

Tonight I connected with a friend from my 2001 military deployment. We didn’t know each other before we deployed being from different units and specialities, but because of our jobs, we came into frequent contact. A friendship sparked and we found ourselves sharing “what will we do after deployment” stories, he commiserated with my mid-deployment divorce and I with his insane break up with his lady love. Returning to our base post deployment,  we stayed connected: we commiserated over failed relationship after failed relationship, promotions, separations and relocations. Our circle of friends expanded to others from our deployment and beyond, yet today he is the only one I stay in regular contact with.

I was at his wedding, cried when I met his bride to be for I could not have created a better woman for him.  And I cried because I knew my marriage was falling apart as he found happiness. He and his bride cradled me in their home in Canada post divorce and helped my son and I create an amazing vacation memory we desperately needed.

Tonight as we spoke and I caught up on family members comings and goings, sicknesses, victories and challenges I had a moment of wistfulness – a wanting to recapture the “good ol days” where our biggest concern was which bar to hit that Friday or who was picking up who at the airport.

But as I surveyed my life and gained insight to his my next thought was how very blessed we both were: We had connected. We have stay connected and we can call each other months apart, pick up where we left off and support each other. My friend needed to hear that I cared and want the best for him and his bride and where they are right now, and I just needed to be there and be able to give my support without taking anything.

Do you have these friends in your world? These gifts along your path whose path may take different twists and turns, but never fail to intersect, time and again?  When was the last time they intersected? Is it your turn to twist toward them and reach out for connection? If it is, do it. There is no reason to wait.

What Is Your Visionary Type?

by Don Marlette DonMarlette(558x800)

The word “visionary” conjures up a number of images in my mind’s eye: the guru on the mountain top who attracts followers of all stripes, the leader with a mystical look in her eyes who cares more about practical change and less about what people think of her, the rebel who charges ahead, undaunted by opposition on every side – and these are but a few!

At some level, we are all visionaries.  Remember the first time that you thought about who you wanted to be when you grew up.  Recall the last time you could see yourself in a serious relationship with someone.  These are examples of many “visionary moments” we experience.  When we allow certain visionary moments to grow and develop into a consuming passion, we pass into the realm of the visionary lifestyle.

How that visionary lifestyle will look depends upon you.  I have found numerology to be a helpful tool to discover one’s “visionary type” or mode of visionary life.  Once you know your Visionary Type, you can discover your strengths and areas for growth, so that you can live a visionary lifestyle that is in harmony with your highest self.

To discover your own Visionary Type, simply write down the numerical month and day of your birth in the spaces below.  Then add them together, and keep adding the individual numbers together until you get a single number.  For example, if I were born on August 18, (which becomes 08-18), I would write:

0 + 8 + 1 + 8  =  17  and then…  1 + 7  = 8  = Visionary Type

Now it’s your turn:

__+___+___+___  = _____   and then…  ___+___  =  ___  =  Your Visionary Type

Now that you’ve found your Visionary Type number, match it to the corresponding description below to discover more about your type!

  1. The Reforming Visionary. Your idealism is key to living out your vision.  You have very high standards, and want to be a person of integrity in living them each day.  While maintaining a fierce loyalty to your vision, you may have problems with resentment and patience.  Stay in the moment and avoid becoming consumed by self-criticism or criticism of others.
  1. The Helping Visionary. Your ease of expressing your true feelings, unconditional love for others, and ability to connect with others will help you to bring your vision into reality. Living out your vision may be challenging at times, due to a tendency toward becoming sentimental and overly concerned with the opinions of others.  Become more emotionally aware and self-nurturing to more effectively make your vision a reality.
  1. The Results Visionary. Your ability to pull people into your circle of friends will take you far. You can be very driven toward success, and work very hard to be productive and effective in everything you do.  Watch out for workaholism and egotism, as you may easily tilt toward burnout or over-concern about your image.  Work on becoming more self-accepting and authentic in your relationship with yourself, as well in your relationships with others.  A balanced life will help you achieve your vision more effectively than overwork and “burning the midnight oil.”
  1. The Independent Visionary. Your independence stems from your desire to be more reserved and alone. Solitude is your greatest teacher, as well as the wellspring of your own dynamic creativity.  Be careful of falling into self-pity or personal drama; your life is actually better than you may perceive it right now.  Good social interactions will help you gain perspective.  Strive to become more objective and principled so that you can see your true progress in achieving your goals.  You are doing better than you think!
  1. The Cerebral Visionary. Your constant curiosity, alertness to information, and innovative approaches help you on your path. Your pioneering spirit helps you blaze new trails in making your vision a reality.  Because you are very much “in your head”, you may tend toward becoming more isolated and eccentric than you would like.  Develop greater self-confidence and decisiveness, so that you don’t become trapped into thinking you have to do everything.
  1. The Responsible Visionary. You don’t really see yourself as the visionary type! You want to be secure in what you do, so striking out into the unknown is more than a little scary.  However, you do have a rebellious streak in you, and that rebelliousness is the hatchery of your true visionary creativity.  Get in touch with that, and courageously champion that vision with all your might.  Yes, letting go of security can be frightening, but life will become much richer for you when you do.
  1. The Playful Visionary. Your playfulness, spontaneous and optimistic nature will give you the fuel to achieve your goals. Beware of becoming too impulsive and off-task, however.  Once you make a decision, strive to follow through to its completion.  Also, get in touch with your own inner pain, as it will help you to become more authentic and reach more people effectively.
  1. The Challenging Visionary. Your strong self-confidence helps you to forge ahead and get things done, especially in making your vision a reality. Although your assertiveness can help you accomplish great things, be mindful that you do not become intimidating or controlling.  Use your strengths to become more inspiring for others and improve their lives.
  1. The Self-Effacing Visionary. Yes, you want to have a peaceful life and not trouble the waters too much, and there is a way to achieve your goals without stepping on too many toes. Realize that confrontation and occasional conflict are part of the work of manifesting your dreams, and your natural peacefulness and calm will make these confrontations less dramatic than you may fear.  Work on becoming more self-developing and self-confident to bring out the best in yourself for the good of others.

Keep in mind these Visionary Types are not set in stone.  They are intended to help you see your own strengths, and how you can incorporate them in to your life.  Your own unique “stamp” on your Visionary Type is not only important, but necessary for you to articulate, plan and implement a vision and goals that are truly your own.

Have fun adding this to your personal toolbox for making your dreams a reality!
